Why consent is requested
The EstateConnect enquiry form asks for POPIA consent before a message is submitted. Consent helps confirm that you understand EstateConnect will store and use the details you provide so it can respond to your property enquiry.
What you consent to
By submitting the enquiry form, you consent to EstateConnect collecting and using your name, email address, mobile number, enquiry type, area of interest, property details, message, page URL, source information and consent timestamp to respond to your enquiry and manage the related property-service conversation.
What consent does not cover
Website enquiry consent does not mean you have agreed to sell, buy, rent, let or manage a property through EstateConnect. It also does not replace any separate mandate, offer, lease, sale agreement, FICA verification, direct-marketing permission or other formal transaction document.
If you withhold consent
If you do not provide consent, the website form should not be submitted. You may still contact EstateConnect through another published channel and ask which information is required for the specific service you need.
Withdrawal and objection
You may withdraw consent or object to certain processing where South African law allows it. Withdrawal does not automatically affect processing that already took place lawfully, records that EstateConnect must keep, or processing required for legal or regulatory reasons.
Sensitive documents
Do not submit identity documents, bank statements, proof of address, source-of-funds records or other sensitive FICA documents through the public enquiry form. If those records are needed, EstateConnect will explain the appropriate secure verification process.
